Naira Marley Recreates ‘Coming’ In New Single, ‘O’Dun’, Featuring Zinoleesky (Watch)

Naira Marley in O’Dun

When Naira Marley released ‘Coming’, featuring South African songstress, Busiswa, in 2021, the Nigerian street-hop singer took over the continent of Africa with the track.

‘Coming’ moved on to become one of the most prevalent street songs in Nigeria, South Africa and other parts of the continent because of its addictive rhythm and, of course, the vulgar lyrics that left many dumbfounded.

Dishing out his first song for the year 2022, Naira Marly infused the style he previously employed in ‘Coming’ to create a new potential hit song titled ‘O’dun’, a Yoruba word that translates to ‘Something Sweet’.

Naira Marley taps his Marlian Records’ signee, Zinoleesky, to spice the new song up with his sonorous vocals, and his unique approach to handling choruses.

Inasmuch as the song, ‘O’dun’ struggles to have its own identity, the already successful ‘Coming’ still resonates so well as Naira Marley delivers his verse on the song.

Perhaps Naira Marley should have considered using ‘Coming Refix’ as the title of this 2022 debut track, instead of ‘O’dun’. ‘Rexxie produced ‘O’dun,’ and it serves as a follow-up to ‘Kojosese’.

Ibidunni Oladapo, who directed the video, gave it a more decent approach compared to Naira Marley’s previous visuals, which are lewd contents.

‘O’dun’ is expected to be included in Naira Marley’s forthcoming studio album tagged ‘God’s Timings The Best’.
