Rising Star CKay Goes Platinum In The US Months After France Certification

CKay

Record-breaking Nigerian music sensation, CKay, has officially become the second most-streamed Afrobeats musician on Spotify.

The singer rose to the number two spot after garnering over 1.2 billion streams on the music platform, thanks to his global hit single, ‘Love Nwatiti’, and his other successful songs.

The Warner Records singer hit a milestone of 1 billion streams for the track, ‘Love Nwantiti.’ This made him the first Nigerian to have a single song attain such a feat on Spotify.

CKay, real name Chukwuka Ekweani, falls behind ‘Last Last’ crooner Burna Boy, who sits comfortably at the top spot with over 1.4 billion streams on Spotify.

In February 2022, WithinNigeria reported YouTube announced CKay as the most-streamed musician on the music and video streaming platform after he got over 1.44 billion streams in the past year.
