Nigerian DJ Cuppy is emotional after completing her thesis at the Oxford University.
The celebrity DJ announced on social media that she was drained following the completion of the thesis that made her think of dropping out of the institution twice.
“I’m so drained that it actually feels so difficult to celebrate. 😪 Over the last few weeks, I’ve pushed myself SO much, both mentally and physically to actually finish this degree.”
“Truthfully, this has been one of the most challenging experiences of my life… This paper alone has made me want to drop out of Oxford University TWICE,” the show host wrote on social media.
Sharing an image of herself crying, DJ Cuppy described the moment as a glad one for herself. “TEARS OF JOY 😭 The wait is finally over!!! My Thesis is finally 100% done!!! 📚🎉 Not sure why weeping is my reaction right now,” she said.
Cuppy said she had earned respect for doing what many people would not do, and she needed no one to acknowledge the hard work she put into her education. She included that it was not yet time for her to return to partying, but to get quality rest.
“I’ve done something only a few can do, and I don’t need to ask for anyone’s respect or flowers – I’ve earned them! 🤗 People keep asking where the party is?! LMAO I need to rest and rebuild… It is important to understand that when you have worked as hard as I have for a project like this, you get so fatigued and partying is the last thing on your mind.
She completed the note with an appreciation message to everyone who supported her throughout the journey. “I am thankful for all the people who have supported me and proud of myself throughout this process. Lastly, I am thankful to God who has been with me the entire way!!! 😇📚.”
Recall, WithinNigeria had earlier reported that DJ Cuppy lamented about struggling with her last term at the institution where she is studying master’s in African Studies, her second master’s degree after securing one in Music Business from New York University in 2015.
