The Music Industry Is Biased Against Women —Simi (Video)

Simi

Respected Nigerian musician Simi has shared her opinion about the music industry.

The mother of one, who spoke in an interview on the Spotify Equal platform, defined her art and talked about women’s representation in the industry in the 36-second-long chat.

Simi stated that her art is authentic, calm, relatable, and beautiful. The ‘Duduke’ crooner added that the ratio of men to women that have succeeded in the music industry is wild while disclosing seeing women who have made it will encourage other women coming up that they can do great things.

Simi credited Spotify Equal for the fascinating platform created for women to show what they are capable of and reduce how much the industry has undermined women so far.

The sonorous singer shared that women’s representation is significant because there is an acknowledged bias against women in the music industry.
