Funke Akindele, Dare Art Alade, Basketmouth, Timi Dakolo Star In Sound Sultan’s Video For ‘Friends’ (Watch)

Sound Sultan

Sound Sultan’s managements, Naija Ninja and Empire Music, have released the official music video for ‘Friends,’ the latest single by the late veteran musician.

The celebrity-studded video for ‘Friends’ stars revered actress Funke Akindele, iconic singers Dare Art Alade, Timi Dakolo, and comedian Basketmouth, amongst other notable entertainers who paid homage to Sound Sultan in the flick.

‘Friends’ narrates the different friends in human lives. In the song, Sound Sultan sang about having friends who stand by us in times of problem, those who are with us for the wealth we possess, and the ones who we call on when we need financial assistance.

In his usual style, Sound Sultan presented a conscious song titled ‘Friend,’ which we have projected to stand the test of time because of the evergreen lyrics he adopted, and the soft, yet catchy approach he delivered on the ID Cabasa-produced song.

The video was released to commemorate the one-year remembrance of Sound Sultan. He passed away at age 44 on July 11, 2021, after battling angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.
