Eedris Abdulkareem Undergoes Surgery, Raises N2.1m Of N24m Fee Through GoFundMe

Veteran Nigerian rapper Eedris Abdulkareem has received N2.1 million from the N24 million needed for his kidney transplant.

The musician, on Friday, July 22, 2022, shared his GoFundMe account with his fans and well-meaning Nigerians to support him with the surgery.

The goal of the GoFundMe account was to raise £48,000 (24,006,618.92) for Abdulkareem. However, only £4,269 (N2,135,088.67) has been raised by 164 people as of the time of filing this report.

The renowned singer was recently diagnosed with a kidney problem and hospitalized, with his surgery to hold today, July 27.

According to reports, his wife will donate her kidney to him. “The wife is donating her kidney for him. All that is left now is to get the money needed for the surgery,” an insider said.
