Switching To Gospel After Doing Secular Music For Over 20 Years Works For Me —Kcee

Kcee

Foremost Nigerian musician Kcee said releasing gospel music after over two decades of secular music worked for him.

Kcee, real name Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo, revealed that his shot at gospel music was deliberate and premeditated to avoid being an inactive musician.

After doing music for 23 years, Kcee added that he had to switch up his music and got a green light from his attempt.

“The switch was deliberate and intentional. I’ve been doing this for twenty-three years so, you can’t be stagnant,” Kcee stated.

He added, “So sometimes for me, I have to move it around, switch it around. And that was one of those things I did. And it clicked, it worked for me somehow.”
