Wizkid Mourns Death Of His Guitarist (Video)

Wizkid, the most decorated Afrobeats superstar in the world, has mourned the passing of prominent bass guitarist Joey Bass.

The ‘Essence’ crooner broke the news to the Nigerian media on his social media page on Instagram on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

Wizkid shared a screenshot of his duet with the late guitarist on his Instagram stories with an emotional tribute as the caption.

“RIP Joey. Thank u for sharing your light with me,” Wizkid wrote alongside heartbreak emojis.

Joey Bass, also known as The Anchor Man, performed alongside Wizkid for the acoustic version of the Nigerian musician’s hit track, ‘Blessed,’ at his sold-out show in 2021 at the O2 Arena in London.
