Ckay Leads, Burna Boy, Fireboy, Wizkid Follow As Spotify Releases List Of Most Streamed Nigerian Songs

CKay, Burna Boy and Wizkid

Giant music streaming portal, Spotify, has dropped the list of the most streamed Nigerian songs ever on their platform.

Singer and record producer CKay overpowered the list with four of his songs, while Burna Boy and Wizkid made two appearances each. Likewise, Fireboy DML and Maleek Berry inked their names in the catalogue with one track each.

The king of Spotify streams, CKay’s ‘Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah)’ has 547 million streams. The remix for the song featuring DJ Yo & Ax’el garnered 427 million streams on the platform, with both tracks sitting comfortably in the first and second positions.

CKay also maintained the seventh and ninth positions with his North African Remix for ‘Love Nwantiti’ at 117 million streams and ‘Emiliana’ at 107 streams, respectively.

Burna Boy appeared on numbers three and five of the list, thanks to ‘On The Low’ that did 169 million streams, and ‘Ye’ secured 144 million streams on Spotify.

Fireboy appeared on the number four spot with his ’Peru’ remix featuring English singer Ed Sheeran. The song has 167 million streams.

Wizkid took the sixth and eighth positions through ‘Essence’ featuring Tems and ‘Come Close,’ his duet with Canadian singer Drake. Both songs have 124 million streams and 115 million streams each.

Maleek Berry, the last man on the list, has 95 million streams for his hit song, ‘Kontrol.’
