Is there an indirect campaign against natural bodies – Ifu Ennada questions

Ifu Ennada is seemingly worried about the upsurge in discrimination against natural bodies as opposed to surgically enhanced ones.

The former reality TV star and skincare expert shared her thoughts via her Instagram stories where she detailed her own personal experience.

Ifu who said Rihanna is her role model, revealed that she has been trolled for her naturally athletic body; being described as a transgender, midget, strong yansh, etc., and has been advised on more than one occasion to seek surgery so that her ‘market value can go up’.

Ifu Ennada also pointed to the preference of men and women for surgically enhanced curvy bodies and the unhealthy campaign of making it the standard of beauty. In her words:

“When did being curvy become the standard of beauty? Almost every big girl in Nigeria has done yansh and hips – which I have nothing against, but it seems there’s an indirect campaign against natural healthy bodies that are not overly curvy.

Is this because the society (including women) tends to rate surgically enhanced bodies as “hotter” than their opposites?

I remember when music videos used to have lots of slim girls and that seemed like the standard of beauty.…. Will we get back to the days where most girls don’t have identical body shapes?

I remember a Troll asking me to get my body done so that my “market value” will go up. While it was both funny and annoying, at the time it made me think of the reality of things in our society and how surgically enhanced curves are considered superior by lots of people.

I never knew the day would come when you get dragged for having a natural body.

Sometimes the trolling is worse for me because I have a natural athletic body which some Nigerians ignorantly tag “man body” or “strong body”.

Yeah, I get trolled for the way I’m naturally shaped and it doesn’t help that I work out.

People have called me Transgender, Midget, Strong Yansh and all sorts of names due to a body type I was assigned by God.

Saw someone I know who used to have a beautIFU slim frame suddenly looking overly curvy (surgery). While her new body doesn’t look bad on her, it made me wonder if changing her body type was solely her decision or if it was influenced by d society’s adoration of surgically enhanced bodies.
