Rema is one Nigerian musician who has a stronghold in France. The singer has made tremendous achievements in the country with his acclaimed single titled ‘Calm Down.’

Barely two months after declaring ‘Calm Down’ certified Platinum, the song has taken a step further to be certified Diamond after garnering fifty million (50,000,000) streams-equivalent.

The French National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP) disclosed this in a social media post published on Monday afternoon, September 5, 2022.

“Le titre ‘Calm Down’ de Rema est certifié Single Diamant! 50 000 000 équivalents streams. Bravo!” the body wrote in French. In the English language, the Twitter post means, “Rema’s track ‘Calm Down’ is certified Diamond! 💎 50,000,000 stream equivalents streams. Well done!”

Rema premiered the remix for the ‘Calm Down,’ featuring American singer Selena Gomez, on August 26, 2022, after so much hype. The singers merged two cultures to give their fans a memorable song to calm their minds down and put their stereos on lockdown by putting the new track on constant repeat.
