Arguably the biggest artiste on the continent of Africa, Burna Boy, has secured four nominations at the 2022 Soul Train Awards.
Burna Boy, a dominant force on the continent and in the international scene, got a nomination each in the ‘Best R&B/Soul Male Artist,’ ‘Song of the Year,’ ‘Video of the Year,’ and ‘Best R&B/Soul Male Artist’ categories.
In 2021, Wizkid and Tems scored five nominations for their duet on ‘Essence.’ The amazing singers were nominated for the categories ‘Song of the Year,’ ‘Video of the Year,’ ‘The Ashford and Simpson songwriter’s award,’ and ‘Best Collaboration’ for the single ‘Essence.’ However, the duo danced home with the ‘Collaboration of the Year’ award for their duet on ‘Essence’.
The 2022 Soul Train Awards show is slated for November 13, 2022 in Las Vegas. An award-winning American actor and comedian, Deon Cole, will host the event.
