MTV EMA 2022: Singer Burna Boy wins best African act

Singer Burna Boy is no doubt an all-rounder when it comes to music and he gets accolades for it.

Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu MFR, known professionally as Burna Boy won ‘Best African Act’ at the MTV EMAs 2022.

The MTV Europe Music Awards (originally named MTV European Music Awards, commonly abbreviated as MTV EMA) are awards presented by Paramount International Networks to honor artists and music in pop culture.

Reacting, the ‘Last Last’ crooner who was not physically present at the event to receive the award couldn’t hold back his excitement about it and appreciated the organizers for honoring him. He wrote:

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls singer cum songwriter Temilade Openiyi, professionally known as Tems, has become the first Nigerian to win the BMI Impact Award in London. 

The singer was recognised for her ground-breaking artistry, creative vision, and impact on the future of music. 

To top it all, BMILondon hailed Tems and expressed interest in seeing what her next achievement would be.
