Michelle Dede, a Nollywood actress, took to social media to reveal how she never wanted to catch the bouquet at her colleague Rita Dominic’s wedding.
WITHIN NIGERIA previously reported that Rita moved Michelle to tears after she abandoned the traditional method of throwing bouquets at weddings.
Typically, at the end of a wedding, the bride throws her bouquet towards her bridesmaids and other single ladies, with her back to them.
The lucky lady who caught it is thought to be the next in line for a wedding.
On the other hand, Rita chose to give her bouquet to her friend and colleague, Michelle Dede, who also happens to be the chief bridesmaid.
Michelle became emotional due to the thoughtful gesture and burst into tears.
I Have Caught Bouquet Four Times
While reminiscing on the moment at Rita Dominic‘s wedding, Michelle in a post shared on Twitter, disclosed she has been a bridesmaid at seven weddings and caught bouquet four times.
According to Michelle, she had decided not to catch Rita’s bouquet but her colleague handed it over to her.
She further prayed that everything that Rita whispered to her would come true.
She wrote:
I’ve been a bridesmaid at 7 weddings. Chief bridesmaid at 4. Bridesmaid/mc at 1. Caught a bouquet 4 times. Cried at all 7, yet the 1st time I didn’t want to try catch the bouquet, it’s handed to me. God oya o may all the things @ritaUdominic whispered come true.
