Ozioma Okposo, wife of gospel singer Sammie Okposo, has finally broken her silence over the death of her husband who passed away at the age of 51.
According to the singer’s project manager Hilary Vincent, Sammie Okposo died in his sleep on Friday morning, November 25.
Ozioma who had been silent on social media since the tragic death of her husband, shared a photo of singer worshipping at a church on her Instagram story on Friday, December 2.
Ozioma also replaced her Instagram display picture with the same photo.
However, Ozy as she is fondly called, did not attach a caption to the photo.
Ozioma was recently praised for supporting and standing by her husband during his challenging moments.
Sammie’s colleague Sonnie Badu poured encomiums on the late singer’s while reacting to the singer’s death in a Instagram post. He wrote:
“I just want to say thank you to Mrs Okposo. You are a good woman. You stood behind your husband until the end. He said so many good things about you in his challenging moments. Thank you, thank you, thank you for covering him when he needed it… Rest well.”
Recall that Sammie made headlines in January 2022 after tendering a public apology to Ozioma who forgave him for cheating on her with a US-based lady identified as African Doll.
The couple celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary on July 1.
