Nigerian comedian cum actor, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has deleted the Instagram post where he announced his divorce to Elsie, just hours after an old video of them condemning divorce surfaced.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls the father of four, stirred reactions with the announcement of his crashed marriage on Thursday, December 22, 2022, where he assured to peacefully co-parent with his wife.
A few days after his announcement an old video of Basketmouth and his wife, Elsie kicking against divorce in an interview with, Wedding Channel Africa, resurfaced online. In the interview, Basketmouth and Elsie vowed never to get a divorce.
In the video, the comedian braggingly avowed that there is no good marriage that ends in divorce which is why he and Elsie can’t divorce. The couple stated that divorce isn’t on their table as they love each other.
However, hours after the old video resurfaced, Basketmouth has taken down the post he made about his separation from Elsie. See screenshot of his page now:
