BigTems trends as Yemi Alade, others congratulate Tems for winning Grammy

BigTems has began to trend on microblogging platform, Twitter with many Nigerians excited for superstar singer, Tems Grammy win.

Tems had won the 2023 Grammy for Best Melodic Rap Performance for her feature in Future’s ‘Wait for U.’

Meanwhile, Burna Boy lost in the Best Global Music Album and the Best Global Music Performance’ categories.

Singer Yemi Alade was quick to congratulate her colleague, Tems on her win. The 33-year-old sent her congratulations in a Twitter message. The Johnny hitmaker wrote:

Other Nigerians who were shocked as to why Burna Boy didn’t clinch a Grammy Award didn’t let their disappointment dampen Tem’s achievement. They all took to social media to congratulate her for making her nation proud.

‘Wait for U’, a 2022 track that also features Drake, bested songs from other artists including Jack Harlow’s ‘First Class’, Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Die Hard’, Latto’s ‘Big Energy (Live)’ and DJ Khaled’s Beautiful’ to win the Grammy.
