Movie director, scriptwriter and singer, Tchidi Chikere has responded to the backlash trailing his remarriage after two failed marriages.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls on Monday, April 17, Tchidi Chikere announced that he got married for the third time some months back.
This garnered mixed reactions from fans and a major backlash.
Reacting to it, Tchidi Chikere shared private chats he received from his ex-wife after he remarried to show that they share a cordial relationship.
Earlier, his first ex-wife, actress Sophia Williams congratulated him a blog’s comment section. Tchidi then took to his Instagram account to share the private message Sophia sent to celebrate with him.
He added in the caption that Sophia was 18 and he was in his early 20s when they got married, hence the issues they had, but they now know better.
Tchidi also shared his private chats with his second ex-wife, actress Nuella Njubigbo to show that they are also cordial.
Tchidi also left a message for those calling him out for remarrying so soon after his second marriage ended. He wrote:
“Some one needs to hear this advice.
NO ONE WILL PAY YOU FOR HOW LONG YOU WAITED.
HOW LONG YOU STAYED UNHAPPY. HOW LONG YOU WERE ALONE. WE ARE ALL SOLITARY BIRDS…CHOOSE YOU! LOVE YOUR REAL FRIENDS. FALL IN LOVE WITH A GOOD WOMAN OR MAN, NO MATTER HOW LONG IT TAKES YOU TO FIND HIM/ HER, OR HOW MANY TIMES YOU TRY. YOU HAVE ONLY ONE LIFE TO LIVE. MOST OF ALL, BE AT PEACE WITH GOD.”
