“First day I met Burna Boy in PH he was running after I and Davido’s car screaming ‘I love you’” – B-Red

During a recent appearance on “Echo Room,” podcast, B-Red, a well-known singer and cousin of Davido, shared his first encounter with Afrobeats star, Burna Boy.

He also disclosed his encounter with another sensational singer, Wizkid.

B-Red recounted a day when he was in the company of Wizkid and he asked him about a budding artist with the best song in the industry. B-Red revealed that he informed Wizkid that the artist in question was none other than his cousin, Davido, who was poised to make a big impact in the music scene.

B-Red noted that this occurred when Davido just dropped his hit track ‘Back When‘.

The singer then proceeded to recall his first meeting with Burna Boy in Port Harcourt. He vividly described how Burna Boy, upon spotting their car, fervently pursued it while shouting, “I love you, B-Red! I love you, Davido!”; an enthusiastic display of admiration which resembled that of a devoted fan rather than a fellow artist.

This comes a few hours after Davido’s recent statement in an interview where he asserted that he and Wizkid are the old guys in the music industry, preceding ‘new cats’ like Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Asake and others.
