Davido, Bella Shmurda, others attend memorial procession for Mohbad [VIDEO]

• The attendees, were mostly dressed in customized tee-shirts of the late singer, gathered on the streets of Lekki Lagos State

In a heartfelt tribute to the late musician Mohbad, a memorial procession gathering was held, attracting prominent names such as Davido and Bella Shmurda.

The memorial procession, filled with both sorrow and celebration, brought together a community of artists who were deeply touched by the way Mohbad passed  away.

The emotional atmosphere was captured in a poignant video that encapsulated the love felt by those present at  the gathering.

The loss of Mohbad obviously left an indelible void in the hearts of many Nigerians.

The mourners gathered in Lekki, a neighborhood in Lagos State, most of them wearing homemade t-shirts honoring the late artist.

Mohbad’s close friend and frequent collaborator Bella Shmurda has expressed her gratitude to everyone who attended the parade in memory of the late singer.

On his X handle, he wrote; “Shout out to everyone who came out.

For Mohbad’s candle night. Y’all are blessed. I appreciate you guys from the bottom of my heart.”

Recall that on Tuesday 12 September, Mohbad passed away mysteriously, leaving many heartbroken.

Reports from entertainment journalist Ovie on X (formerly Twitter) indicate that the 27-year-old Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter, passed away. However, the exact cause of his demise remains undisclosed at this time.

It’s worth noting that Mohbad was formerly signed to Naira Marley’s “Marlian Records” but departed from the label in 2022. He had gained widespread recognition for his hit singles such as “Ponmo,” “Feel Good,” and “KPK (Ko Por Ke)” in collaboration with Rexxie.

The passing of Mohbad is a profound loss to the Nigerian music industry and has left fans in mourning.
