Previously, it was reported that the Lagos State police had arrested Sam Larry in connection with Mohbad’s death shortly after his return to Nigeria.
In his official statement, Sam Larry claimed that he had no knowledge of Mohbad’s death and revealed that their altercation was over N2 million.
According to Sam Larry, he had given Mohbad N2 million to perform at his mother’s burial, but the singer never fulfilled his commitment. Upon learning that Mohbad was shooting a music video nearby, Sam Larry confronted him about the money.
He also claimed that he left the country on August 20th, reiterating his innocence.
However, internet users have pointed out inconsistencies in Sam Larry’s statement. They highlighted his presence at the Summer Rave party in Lagos on August 26th, which contradicts his claim of leaving Nigeria on August 20th.
These inconsistencies have raised doubts about the accuracy of Sam Larry’s statement and have fueled further speculation regarding the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
