A video captures the moment embattled singer, Naira Marley surrendered himself to the police after he touched down in the country.

In the video, the self-acclaimed Marlian President is seen wearing a mask as he was led into the car by men believed to be that of the Nigerian police.

The car subsequently zoomed off while another one followed behind. Naira Marley is currently in the custody of the Nigerian police undergoing interrogation and investigations that will be helpful in unravelling the complexities behind Mohbad’s death.

The video showing the moment of the crooner’s submission has subsequently gotten a lot of netizens talking.

Recall that Naira Marley touched down in Nigeria for the first time following the demise of Mohbad.

Via his official X handle, the singer announced his return, stating that he’s out to help the Police in their investigation regarding Mohbad’s death.

He added that he’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to be served.

He wrote:

“I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation. It’s important I do my part for Imole. I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail.”

A few minutes after his tweet, Police PRO, David Hundeyin via his X handle also confirmed that Naira Marley is in their custody for interrogation.
