Actress Ekene Umenwa has celebrated her filmmaker husband, Ifeanyi Ogbodo Alex, weeks after their wedding controversy.
Recall the actress was heavily criticised after a viral video captured her leaving her filmmaker husband to kneel before a gospel singer, Moses Bliss, who made a surprise appearance at their wedding. Ekene and her husband, however, shut down the critics.
On Monday, November 20, the actress shared Instagram photos of the duo praying together. Captioning the photos, Ekene Umenwa wrote:
“He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains Favour from God @kleanson I decree upon your life you are blessed forever amen.
“Whoever blesses you online and offline is blessed forever and WHOEVER CURSES YOU ONLINE AND OFFLINE IS CURSED FOREVER AMEN Kings will come to the rising of your star amen. What stopped other me. Will never stop you amen. I love you my king forever and more. Happy birthday my kind the crown over my head.”
Ifeanyi wrote in the comment section of the post:
“You are such an amazing soul, beautiful in and out. Thank you for everything. Thank you for making me cry this morning with this surprising, knowing fully well what I love and you brought it to our house. I bless the day I met you l. God bless you my baby girl. I love you to the moon and beyond,”
Moments ago, Ekene shared a video on her Instagram page, revealing she surprised her husband with a group of friends, family members and well wishers who came around. In the video, a praise and worship session holds, followed by prayer. Ekene is seen with her hands on her husband’s head, praying passionately for him. She wrote in part:
“God has been my backbone and he made everything in my life right at his own time and season & this was how I surprised my husband @kleanson this is his first birthday as a MR and indeed heaven came down and the glory of God filled the earth.
@ebukasongs you are a blessing to this generation I can’t thank you enough. my brother may God continue to uplift you more and more amen.”
The video has been met with both praise but majorly criticism. Some applauded her for being a prayerful wife but many questioned why she had to display it on social media. See post and some reactions below:
