Nigerian veteran actress, Patience Ozokwo, popularly known as Mama G, took to social media today to celebrate the birthday of her first daughter, sharing a heartfelt note and a video capturing cherished memories between mother and daughter.

In the Instagram post, Ozokwo emotionally recounted the harrowing experience of nearly losing her daughter at the tender age of 9.

The actress revealed that her daughter’s life hung in the balance, but by the grace of God, she was revived, expressing gratitude for the three months spent in the hospital and the miraculous turnaround.

The veteran actress continued to share her experience of fervent prayers during the challenging time, celebrating her daughter’s resilience and the greatness she has become.

Patience Ozokwo expressed joy in having a best friend in her daughter, concluding the post with heartfelt blessings and a declaration of eternal celebration for her daughter.

In her words;

“Happy birthday to you, my precious daughter. This day always comes with beautiful memories of God’s blessings to us as a family. We almost lost you when you were 9, but mercy said no. I remember spending 3 months with you in the hospital and praying hard for a miracle that God graciously granted.I celebrate the greatness you are. Of course, a Lioness has to birth a Lioness.You bring me so much joy, my darling daughter, and I can confidently say that I have a best friend in YOUYou will always have my blessings, my girl. The womb that birthed you rejoices at your greatestness. We celebrate you today and always”

Earlier this year, the actress was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the AMVCA (African Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards).

In a separate Instagram post,  the actress reflected on the early days of her acting career, highlighting the absence of social media and present-day luxuries.

She emphasized the role of talent, humility, word of mouth, and trust in achieving success.

Expressing gratitude to her colleagues, she acknowledged their tireless efforts often going unrecognized.

Additionally, Ozokwo thanked her family for their unwavering support, mentioning the sacrifices her children made during her filming days.
