I waited for 24years before having a child, not my wife – Doyin Hassan clarifies, speaks on former marriages

• Doyin Hassan has cleared the air on the birth of his child, which he had in his third marriage, after 24 years of waiting.
• The actor who revealed he is now a father clarified that his wife isn’t barren, but he was the one who didn’t father a child.
• Doyin Hassan also gave a breakdown of his two former marriages, which the women died after 8.5 and 10 years respectively.

Former Mount Zion actor cum lecturer, Doyin Hassan has shed light on the birth of his first child, which he welcomed after 24 years.

WITHIN NIGERIA reported earlier this week that Doyin Hassan welcomed his first child with his wife after he waited for 24 years.

Sharing photos of himself, his wife, and their newborn child in Church for Thanksgiving and dedication, he asserted that God is faithful.

He expressed gratitude to his Maker for the blessing after 24 years of toils and struggles. The actor stated that his daughter is a great testimony of God’s faithfulness.

Some blogs however reported that the couple waited 24 years before being blessed with the fruit of the womb but Hassan clarified in a post on his Instagram page that he is the one who waited for 24 years and not his wife.

He revealed that he married his wife, who is his third, in December 2020 after the death of his first two wives. He made it clear that his wife was not barren, rather he was the one sharing testimony of his tears and toils. Doyin Hassan wrote:

“I WAITED FOR 24 YEARS AND NOT MY WIFE OLADUNNI:
MY TESTIMONY ABOUT 24 YEARS OF WAITING HAS BEEN MISUNDERSTOOD IN CERTAIN QUARTERS. THE TESTIMONY WAS ABOUT ME AND NOT THE WOMAN I MARRIED. I FIRST GOT MARRIED ON THE 5TH OF JUNE 1999 AND LOST 2 PRECIOUS WOMEN TO THE COLD HANDS OF DEATH OVER TIME. I MARRIED ADEOLA DOYIN-HASSAN IN JUNE 1999 AND LOST HER 8.5 YEARS AFTER (FEBRUARY 20 2008 ON HER BIRTHDAY) I WAITED FOR 2 YEARS BEFORE I REMARRIED BOLANLE DOYIN-HASSAN IN APRIL 2010. BOLANLE PASSED IN DECEMBER 2020 AND I WAITED 1 YEAR 7 MONTHS BEFORE I REMARRIED IN OCTOBER 2022. MY NEW WIFE WAS NOT BARREN FOR 24 YEARS. I WAS THE ONE WHO SHARED A TESTIMONY OF MY TEARS AND TOILS FOR 24 YEARS. MEETING OLADUNNI WAS GOD’S REDIRECTION OF MY DIVINE JOURNEY. I HOPE THIS IS CLEAR ENOUGH…GOD’S BLESSINGS”.

Doyin Hassan isn’t the only celebrity, who waited years before having a child this year.

In February, after 7 years of waiting, Adeniyi Johnson and wife, Seyi Edun welcomed twins.

While dedicating their twins to church, the couple reflected on their trials. They recounted how they were called names and told to seek help from herbalists, but they stood firm and believed in God for His wonders.

In April, Biola Bayo announced the birth of her first child with photos of her son’s feet on Instagram.

She narrated her painful journey to experience motherhood, revealing how she had a failed IVF, one canceled surrogate circle, and three failed surrogate attempts within two years before she was blessed with her son.

Biola and her husband christened their son, Tioluwanimi, Asha, and Iretide, which all have powerful meanings.
