Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mary Remmy Njoku is counting her blessings as she ushers in the new year with a harrowing tale of a near-death experience.

The wife of Iroko TV’s Jason Njoku took to her Instagram page to share the shocking incident that occurred just hours into 2024.

Detailing the incident, Mary Njoku revealed that she narrowly escaped a major accident that could have had fatal consequences.

Expressing disbelief at her fortunate survival, the mother of three emphasized that it simply wasn’t her time to go.

Despite the close call, Mary Njoku is now filled with gratitude for being granted another chance at life.

The actress went on to express her thankfulness for life and announced her New Year’s resolution to savour each moment and embrace happiness.

Mary Njoku declared her intention to slow down and live every day as if it were her last.

In her words;

“Few hours to 2024. I almost didn’t make it. What could have been a major accident averted?

Still don’t know how I escaped it. But I did. It wasn’t my time. So ALMOST doesn’t count.

It’s 2024, and I am still here, thankful for Life. I will slow down and love life every day as if it were going to be my last. Cos one day, it will be. Just like 31st December, 2023.

Life is too short to be anything but happy. Grateful.

If it’s not time, it’s NOT your time! 2023 was NOT my TIME”.
