Veteran actress, Ngozi Ezeonu debunks death report [VIDEO]

• Ngozi Ezeonu has cleared the air on a cryptic post she made some days ago.
• The veteran actress stated that the post she made with an half burnt candle was for a dear friend who died and not her.
• She chastised some blogs for insinuating she died based on her post and added that she is alive and in good health.

Actress Ngozi Ezeonu has debunked a report about her death.

WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the 58-year-old left her 1.6 million followers on Instagram worried on Saturday after she posted a photo of a burning candle with the caption: “A rare gem is gone.”

Some media reports subsequently claimed that the actress had died and her son confirmed it.

However, in a video shared via Instagram on Tuesday, the Glamour Girls star revealed that she made the post because she lost a dear friend.

On Wednesday, January 10, Ngozi Ezeonu shared another video on Instagram in which she debunked the death report, saying that she is alive and healthy.

The movie star faulted the bloggers who reported her death, adding that the burning candle she posted was for her friend whom she lost. Ngozi said in parts:

“The calls I’ve been receiving have been very worrisome. I don’t know why anybody should take my post. I lost a very close friend of mine, I posted a candle, a half-burnt candle and they now put my picture on that candle and everybody is saying that I died. It is wrong. I am alive and healthy, please.

“In journalism, what you do when in doubt you leave out. If you cannot get across to the person to at least confirm the story, you don’t post. Don’t do that, please. Don’t try it again. This is a new year, why would anybody want to hurt each other just because they want people to follow them.”
