Don Jazzy addresses rumours of sale of Mavin Records

• Speaking in the latest episode of zero conditions podcast, Don Jazzy explained that Mavin Records is booming and has a lot of potential, hence, the reason why many foreign investors wants to buy it. 
• He highlighted that Mavin has been in business with its current partner, Kupanda Holdings for five years and the partnership won’t continue to hold forever.

Mavin Records boss Michael Collins Ajereh, well known as Don Jazzy, has spoken out to put an end to the swirling rumors of a potential sale of his record label.

Recall that in October 2023, Billboard reported that Mavin Records “is seeking investment or eying a potential full sale, with bidding coming from Universal Music Group, HYBE, and strong interest from music asset investors in the financial sector,”.

However, Don Jazzy, in a reassuring statement made, firmly denied any plans to sell the record label.

Don Jazzy implied in a recent interview with the Zero Conditions podcast that the company is being approached by investors but it isn’t looking to sell.

He clarified that the support from outside investors stems from Mavin Records’ potential and profitability.

Don Jazzy pointed out that although Mavin and Kupanda Holdings have been partners for five years, the holdings will not keep the collaboration going “forever.”

He said:

“It [the rumours about the sale of Mavin Records] is simple. We have investors, Kupanda Holdings, and they have been here for five years now, so dem go gona [laughs].

“Obviously, a bunch of people are interested in investing in Mavin. If you have gold or diamonds, people will always patronise you. And Mavin Records has a lot of potential.”

In September Don Jazzy unveiled Mavin’s latest signee, Lifesize Teddy .

The Veteran producer, on Wednesday, unveiled fast rising, singer, rapper, poet and songwriter, Lifesize Teddy, as the latest signee to join the record label from the Mavin Academy..

The Mavin Boss posted a video of the singer via his Twitter handle with the caption;

“Unveiling a new artist is a reminder of how an artist have let themselves go through the laid down process of the Mavin academy, the testament of our faith in them and the coming together of our hardwork [sic].

With the power vested in me by the Supreme Mavin Dynasty It’s my pleasure to introduce you to Mavin’s latest signee. Rapper, poet, singer and songwriter Lifesize Teddy.”
