  • Speaking on his career, the singer reveals that he has more songs more than the ones he has released

Popular Nigerian artist Seyi Balogun, popularly known as Seyi Vibez, has explained why many people feel he is older than his age.

The 23-year-old singer revealed in an interview with Apple Music’s Africa ,that many people mistake him for being older than he actually is because it seems like he is doing things that people his age shouldn’t be doing.

Seyi vibez said:

“Everyone thinks I am older than my age. Nobody thinks I’m 23. Because it seems I’m doing what I am not supposed to do at my age. I just have to keep pushing and working, so my inspiration never dies.

“I keep recording not because I want to record, but because I don’t like talking to people too much. Since I was young, I didn’t like talking to people too much.

“Whatever is on my mind is what I put in my music because that is the only way I can communicate with people. I have a lot more songs than the ones I have released.”

Few months ago, Within Nigeria reported how Seyi Vibez came under fire over Quranic verse in new music snippet .

The singer shared a snippet of the music video and it subsequently triggered several backlashes.

The page identified as @Nigerianmuslim reposted the video and expressed their disapproval of the use of a verse from the Quran in secular music.

The page further called for the removal of the verse before the song is officially released.
