Renowned actress Victoria Inyama has come forward with distressing details about her tumultuous past with her ex-husband, Godwin Okrim.
Opening up about the harrowing experiences she went through during their marriage, Inyama disclosed that her ex-husband would physically assault her anytime their football team, Manchester United, lost a match.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Inyama stated that she is still living with the trauma to this day since she not only despises the club, but every time she sees them lose a match, she is reminded of the beating she had at the hands of her former husband.
She said:
“I hate Man Utd, ehn. The number of beatings wey dem beat me because Man United lose match ehn.
“Even up to today when there is a football match and Man U loses, I am like Thank God, today would have been a beating day. Even my son knows and would be laughing.”
Earlier in the interview, Victoria Inyama had revealed that her ex-husband used to bring in his girlfriend home in their home.
In a conversation with Chude Jideonwo, she recounted the unending domestic abuse faced at the hands of her ex-husband.
Victoria Inyama cited instances when her ex-husband would bring home his girlfriend just to intimidate her in their house. This is what she had to say:
“So your husband was bringing his girlfriends home?” the host asked.
And in response, Victoria Inyama said:
“Oh wow, yes. There was even one instance where the girl was telling me what to cook.
“I should not be cooking meat; I should be cooking fish. Fish is more healthy. I was just looking at this girl, and they were ‘working together.”
