  • He stated that his tough experience is the reason why he strongly believes no artist paved the way for his musical success.

Nigerian rapper, Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, shares the heartbreaking news on how his father passed away due to the inability to afford a hospital bed space costing N70,000.

He stated that his family was poor at the time, that they had to carry his father home to die.

The singer stated that his difficult experience is the reason he believes no musician paved the route for his artistic breakthrough.

According to the singer, his difficult upbringing led him to firmly believe that no other musician helped him achieve success in music.

Odumodublvck acknowledged that while other rappers had influenced him, no one had cleared the path for him.

Taking to his X handle, Odumodublvck wrote:

“When my father died my family was poor. We could not pay hospital bed space of 70k [N70,000]. We had to take him home.

“Coming to tell me about paving the way for me? That’s God, brother. No use your ego counter reason my reality, bros.
“I agree say you inspire me. But bros, you pave the way for nobody. Nobody!

“I hate when n*ggas try to play God.”

This was after Eedris abdulkareem claimed he paved way for Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido and other Nigerian artists.

He claimed that his protest against the mistreatment of Nigerian artistes by show promoters in 2004, when he clashed with American rapper 50Cent and his G-Unit bandmates in Nigeria, is the reason Nigerian artistes are now appreciated around the world.

In the most recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Eedris abdulkareem admitted that his rebellion had an impact on his career, but also stated that it was a beautiful sacrifice that brought the existence of Nigerian artistes Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido.
