David Adeleke Foundation updates public on N300M donations, shares list of eligible orphanages

• David Adeleke Foundation (DAF) provides details on how the proposed N300M donations would be shared among orphanages across Nigeria.
• The foundation identified 427 orphanages across the country eligible to receive the donations. 

In a recent statement, David Adeleke Foundation (DAF), affiliated with Davido’s DMW label, has confirmed the receipt of N300 million in their account, designated for distribution to orphanages across the country.

DAF announced that the disbursement process would commence shortly, revealing that 13,936 children from 427 orphanages were eligible beneficiaries.

Each child is set to receive N19,733 from the donation. The Foundation also released a list containing the names of the 427 qualifying orphanages.

Davido shared the foundation’s statement on his IG page, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to assist the nation’s children and reaffirming his commitment to contributing positively to society.

He wrote:

“To our nation’s children, I remain grateful to be in a position to be able to help. Please accept my humble contribution. Together we shall shape a brighter future ! ⏳❤️

Recall that actor Uche Maduagwu recently fired at Nigerian musician, Davido regarding his philanthropic move.

Maduagwu commended Davido’s generosity but emphasized the importance of prioritizing familial relationships before charity.

He expressed concern that Davido’s significant financial contributions to others should not overshadow unresolved issues within his own family.

Maduagwu specifically mentioned Davido’s baby mama, Sophia Momodu, and urged him to address her publicly expressed grievances before continuing his charitable acts. He highlighted the significance of family unity and suggested that Davido’s actions should align with this principle.

Drawing comparisons to Davido’s colleague, Wizkid and Nigerian billionaires Dangote and Otedola, Maduagwu emphasized that charity should begin at home.

He noted that individuals close to these philanthropists typically express gratitude and support for their charitable acts, adding that nobody is agitating or throwing tantrums in their family.
