Popular Nigerian Afrobeat star, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has opened up on his close bond with fellow superstar Burna Boy, labeling their connection as family.

The revelation came as Wizkid delved into the behind-the-scenes of their collaboration during the creation of Burna Boy’s acclaimed album, “African Giant.”

Recalling the genesis of their friendship, Wizkid disclosed that the two artists first crossed paths while Burna Boy was working on his groundbreaking album.

Originally scheduled for a collaboration on one of the tracks, Wizkid shar ed an amusing story from the studio, admitting he was intoxicated when he arrived, which led to an encounter where they both stumbled over the beats.

Despite the initial hiccup, Wizkid expressed genuine warmth when speaking about Burna Boy, affectionately referring to him as family.

The ‘Joro coroner’ stressed that when two musical giants come together, something amazing is bound to happen.

He highlighted  the special connection that ignites creativity, pointing out the chemistry between them in the studio.
