• According to Venita Akpofure, Big Brother naija producers did not assist her in becoming famous.
• She stated that even though they did support each other during the show, she already had big things going on for her

Former Big Brother Naija housemate and Nollywood actress, Venita Akpofure, has reminded her fans that she achieved success in the entertainment industry before her stint on the popular reality TV show.

She revealed that while the producers of the reality show supported them, they did not help her become famous.

She conveyed this in her musical debut, ‘Gen Z Cypher’ with Magnito, which was uploaded on her X account.

“I made it before Big Brother. No be Biggie help me, we dey help each other. Small girls babbling, I don’t even bother.

“Dem no get experience, they never cross border,” Venita said.

Venita had earlier responded to an X user, who chided her over nudity in her new music video, reminding him that she is following Beyoncé’s footsteps .

The Nigerian actress and model refused to be shamed for expressing herself through some of the roles she played in the video and the kind of wears she had on, citing the iconic singer as inspiration for embracing her own sensuality.

Venita had published a part of the video in which she was scantily dressed on her X account, prompting a user to criticize her exhibition of nudity in the comments area.

The social media user thought it was disgraceful for Venita, a mother of three, to display nudity.

He wrote:

“Person wey get three pikin for house see wetin she wear her shame dey shame me.”

In response, Venita stated that she was emulating her role model, Beyoncé, a multi billionaire household name who is also a mother of three but performs in bodysuits.

She wrote:

“My dear I no Dey shame, keep your shame for yourself, I go Dey follow my Beyoncé jejely de go. Who also has 3 kids, wears bodysuits to perform and is billionaire household name. Go hard = Venita . Go home = you.”
