“A DJ’s wife told my designer not to allow me touch her kids because she thought I had HIV” – Denrele Edun

• Ahead of the big milestone in May, Denrele Edun recounts how a famous DJ’s wife told his favorite designer not to style him.
• She even told him not to allow Denrele touch her kids as she believed he had HIV. 
• She noted how the media personality at that time was slim and she assumed he had a disease.

Nigerian Media personality Denrele Edun opens up about an appalling incident involving him and the wife of a famous DJ.

Counting down to celebrating 3 decades in the Entertainment Industry, Denrele Edun recounted the distressing encounter, highlighted how the DJ’s wife forbade his designer from styling him and from allowing him to come near her children because she believed he had HIV, Noting how the media personality at the time looked skinny and she assumed he had a disease.

He penned a note to self, noting how he has been labeled several names, Malnourished, HIV positive and now he is happy with his new weight and how far he has come.

He wrote:

“Denrele, you’re a SAFE SPACE.
A place that’s practically non-existent in this cràzy industry of ours, but you represent that and MORE”, @kachioffiah said to me whilst on the Arise 360 Live Show yesterday.

One famous DJ’s wife (at the time) told my favorite Designer not to style me in any outfits anymore or even allow me to touch her kids as it was evident I had HIV;
“Can’t you see how Skinny he is? He looks so Diseased”, the jobless wife spluttered in a voice note.
I listened and smiled.

So here’s to adding WEIGHT in all the right places; My 27-inch waist is now 30!
Who knew this day would ever come?
