Grammy-winning Nigerian music sensation, Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid, reveals why he loves being underestimated and how it serves as a powerful driving force for him.

Wizkid explained that being underestimated actually fuels him more than anything in the world, according to him, this mindset has been a constant motivation throughout his career.

The musician revealed this during an Instagram live session with TEFLives, when the host asked how he copes with the constant pressure to prove himself.

He stated that when people underestimate him, it ignites a fire within him and pushes him to prove them wrong.

Wizkid believes that being underestimated allows him to surprise people with his abilities.

He said:

“I love it when people underestimate me, it fuels me more than anything else in the world.”

In another story, Wizkid gets emotional in viral video, revealed that his ex-girlfriend broke, crushed my heart.

In response, the singer revealed that it was his ex-lover who ended the relationship, and left him heartbroken.

However, the singer, who shot to stardom with his chart-topping single “Holla at Your Boy” in 2010, was romantically involved with Sophia Alakija, who notably appeared as a vixen in the music video for his debut hit.
