“I wipe outside, everyone does” – Terry G admits to cheating on his partner
  • Terry G stated that female sex fans would be less comfortable with a musician the moment they get married.
  • Terry G described opposite sex fans as the “juice of the music industry,” highlighting that without them the music industry would be boring.

Nigerian musician Gabriel Oche Amanyi, better known as Terry G, expresses his views on marriage within the music industry.

Terry G contends that musicians should avoid marriage as it may pose a challenge to their relationships with their opposite-sex fans.

According to Terry G, when a musician publicly reveals their marital status, they are essentially stepping out of the box and losing their charm.

Terry G stated that marriage restricts musicians from actively engaging with their female fanbase. He claims that publicly announcing a marriage can significantly impact an artist’s appeal and popularity, potentially resulting in a decline in their fan following.

Terry G described opposite-sex fans as the “juice of the music industry,” emphasizing their crucial role in keeping the music scene vibrant and exciting.

He stated that female fans contribute significantly to the success of musicians by serving as a driving force behind their popularity, highlighting that without the support and adoration of female fans, the industry would lose its charm and appeal.

In his words:

“I don’t think marriage is for people like us [musicians]. If I get married, it would restrict me from my female fans.

“Females are the base of the music, they are the juice of the music industry. Remove them and you are bored.

“If a music artist announced his marriage publicly, it would affect his female fanbase. Once you are married, you are out of the box. In Nigeria, they say once you are married, you are out of the market. So automatically you are no longer hot.”

Terry G also revealed that he  still cheats on his partner, despite loving and respecting her like a wife.

Terry G candidly confessed that despite having a partner whom he loves and respects like his wife, he still engages in infidelity.

Terry G emphasized that he is not a Gospel musician, implying that his lifestyle choices don’t align with a strictly moral image.
