Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has taken to social media to address controversies surrounding the death of ‘Jenifa’s Diary’ actress, Jumoke Aderounmu, sharing her chat with the late actress’s brother to clarify her stance.

Hours after addressing trolls who wished harm upon her children during a live Instagram session, Funke Akindele has publicly shared a screenshot of a direct message she sent to Jumoke Aderounmu’s brother following the actress’s unexpected demise.

Funke Akindele disclosed that she came across a post made by Jumoke’s brother about his sister’s illness.

In her attempt to reach out and offer her sympathies, she messaged him, expressing her sincere condolences.

However, she mentioned that she did not receive a response from him.

To support her claims and further emphasize her genuine concern, Funke Akindele posted a screenshot of the condolence message she had sent to Jumoke’s brother on Instagram.

In a subsequent post, the actress shared a prayer, invoking divine intervention against those posing as friends but harboring ill intentions towards her.

She wrote;

“May every enemy masquerading as a friend be EXPOSED!! DISGRACED!! DESTROYED!! In Jesus’ name. Their negative words shall return to them in Jesus’ name!!!”

In other news, Nigerian actress cum filmmaker, Funke Akindele has told her side of the story over claims of abandoning the late Jumoke Aderounmu.

Following the actress’ demise, her brother had tackled Funke Akindele for publicly mourning her when she had abandoned his sister during her dying moments.

Calling her out over her fake love and hypocrisy, he revealed that his sister had put a call through to Funke several times and had reached out to her through her friends but she didn’t turn up for her.
