‘People are suffering’ – Mr Macaroni tells Nigerian government

• Mr Macaroni stated that if APC knew what Nigerians deserved back then, they should have no problem understanding what the people want now that they are in power.
• He added that Nigerians are suffering and the government needs to rise to its responsibilities.

Renowned content creator and actor, Adebowale Adedayo, popularly known as Mr. Macaroni, has issued a passionate plea to the Nigerian government, led by President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC), to take immediate action to address the plight of the Nigerian citizen.

The actor highlighted that if the government was aware of the people’s needs during their time in opposition, they should be well-equipped to understand and meet the current demands of the citizens now that they hold power.

Mr. Macaroni took to his social media platform to express his concerns, stating:

“No Political party enjoyed opposition like APC! They cursed at Jonathan and his family everyday. Nobody protest reach them.

The Government should wake up!”

Within Nigeria had reported that few months ago, Mr Macaroni called for release of detained EndSars protesters.

In an impassioned plea On Friday, Mr. Macaroni led a peace march in Lagos to commemorate the third anniversary of the Lekki shooting, the unfortunate incident that put a halt to the #EndSARS protests.

Mr Macaroni raised awareness about the unjust detainment of the protesters, rallying for their immediate release and urging the Nigerian government to set them free.

He said:

“The peace walk is to honour all those that lost their lives on October 20, 2020. We’ve done that. We want to walk back but the police don’t want us to walk back.

We don’t want to give them a reason or an excuse to fire at us. We’ve been on this for three years now and we know what they are capable of doing.

“I want to use this opportunity to call for the unconditional release of all those [protesters] that are still in prisons. There are still some protesters who have been in prison since 2020. Lawyers have been on the cases, different shouts everyday but till now they are still there.

“We are using this walk to once again call on all those concerned to grant the unconditional release of all protesters that are still in prison.”
