Wizkid hails Don Jazzy weeks after labelling him ‘influencer’, he reacts

Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid has praised veteran producer and music executive, Don Jazzy for his “amazing” nature.

The commendation follows their recent fallout on social media.

Recall Wizkid shaded Don Jazzy after his signee Ladipoe seemingly ridiculed him in an X post for claiming that ‘hip hop is dead’.

After a fan alerted Wizkid to the post, he reacted by saying, “Lol, never chatting with anyone signed to an influencer. Next.”

He also retweeted two tweets suggesting that he referred to Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy as an influencer.

Don Jazzy reacted by unfollowing Wizkid on Instagram.

It appears the duo have put away their differences as Don Jazzy recently appreciated Wizkid for endorsing his signee, Ayra Starr’s sophomore album, ‘The Year I Turned 21.’

On Thursday, Wizkid took to his X handle to hail Don Jazzy, describing him as an “amazing human.” He wrote,

“Don jazzy! amazing human! [Love and eagle emojis].”

Reacting to the tweet, Don Jazzy responded;

“Babanla [Eagle, love and elephant emojis].”

Meanwhile, Afrobeats singer and songwriter, Michael Olayinka aka Ruger has opened up on the reason for ending his longtime beef with colleague, BNXN formerly known as Buju.

In an interview with Beats FM 99.9, Ruger discussed how fan comparisons fueled their three-year beef, but they ultimately chose to focus on creating good music together.

He noted that while comparisons can be harmful, they are also a necessary aspect of the industry, driving entertainment and competition.

Ruger highlighted the importance of prioritizing quality music, referencing their collaborative EP “RnB” as an example of talented artistes working together to produce great sound.
