The Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos State Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has expressed concern over the lyrics in a recent song by rising singer Ayo Maff.
The song, titled “Last Week,” contains lyrics that reference drug use, which SP Hundeyin believes may have a negative impact.
The song’s opening verse mentions using a strong synthetic strain of cannabis and contacting a dealer to restock.
SP Hundeyin responded to a viral snippet of the song on social media, expressing concern about the potential influence of the lyrics.
He stated that the song lyrics promotes harmful behavior, noting that drug abuse is a common factor in many criminal cases

“Fact: Half of the young ones in prison today wouldn’t be there if they didn’t do drugs. Drugs is a precursor to everything bad.

The Inspector General of Police, Baba Alkali, ordered Seun’s arrest after a video of him assaulting the Police Officer surfaced online and the singer revealed that the altercation occurred because the policeman tried to hurt him and his family.
Reacting to the incident, Peter took to his Twitter page on behalf of Seun Kuti, to appeal to the Police Force to accept his unreserved apology for the terrible outburst and to temper justice with mercy.
