‘Stop supporting bad governance’ – Rapper Vector tells celebrities
  • Vector berated celebrities who are taking sides against the reality of Nigerians, especially as Nigerians embark on nationwide protest
  • He warned that the hardship would eventually affect them if it wasn’t stopped.

Rapper Vector Tha Viper has recently shared his thoughts on the involvement of Nigerian celebrities in politics, urging them to reconsider their support for certain politicians.

In light of the trend of more celebrities openly aligning themselves with political figures, Vector expressed his disappointment with those who seem to be disconnected from the struggles of their fans and fellow citizens.

He cautioned that if the current situation of hardship and bad governance in the country continues, even celebrities could eventually feel the negative impacts.

Taking to his social media platform, Vector advised celebrities to reconsider their affiliations with political figures and to instead prioritize the well-being of the people they represent.

On his X handle, Vector wrote: “To the celebrities taking sides against the reality of their own people/fans, it may be best to repent before you become the only reachable option if the hardship doesn’t stop. Stop supporting bad governance.”

His message comes as protests continue nationwide against the challenging circumstances faced by many Nigerians.

Recall Popular Skitmaker Nasboi had earlier revealed why  he won’t be joining the nationwide protest.

The singer made it clear that he would not be joining the protest. Not stopping there, he went on to state that his reasons were entwined with his 2023 election experience.

According to Nasboi, he received lots of threats for supporting Peter Obi during the 2023 presidential election and when he shared the threatening messages online, people laughed at him. Tweeting further, he added that most celebrities do not make money from politics like some fans believe.

He wrote:

“Me, protest? Lol. The last time I spoke up, dem use threaten wan finish my life. I come tweeter come post the dm’s of threats, Na laugh people dey laugh for here. A lot of celebrities don’t get money off politics like you insinuate. Buh na just fear of being a scape goat.”
