Former Big Brother Naija housemate Rhuthee has expressed remorse for certain statements she made about fellow contestants Wanni and Handi during her time on the show.
She specifically, regrets accusing the twins of engaging in inappropriate behavior with each other.
In a recent interview, Rhuthee acknowledged that her words were hurtful and excessive, stating that she “went overboard” with her comments.
She particularly regrets suggesting that Wanni and Handi were involved in a romantic relationship for financial gain.
When asked if she believed she had slút-shamed the twins, Rhuthee denied it, maintaining that her intention was not to shame or degrade them.
“I feel bad for certain things I said about Wanni and Handi. When they play the video, I can’t even stand it because I felt like I went overboard with some of the things I said,” she said.
The host, Hero, asked, “Like what?”
Rhuthee replied: “The fact that I said she [Wanni] was sleeping with her sister [Handi] for money. I felt like even if I had this information, it wasn’t the right thing to say to someone.”
Hero further probed: “Do you think you slut-shamed the twins?”
Ruthee’s response was immediate: “To be honest, no.”
Recall that Wanni x Handi had clashed with Rhuthee following Ebuka’s revelation.
The confrontation was sparked by TV host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu’s revealing comments about Rhuthee’s recent conversations and interactions.
During the live broadcast, Ebuka disclosed a conversation Rhuthee had with her partner, DJ Flo, where she reportedly supported Onyeka’s claims about Wanni.
These claims included accusations that Wanni was both rude and stingy. Ebuka questioned Rhuthee’s decision not to address these issues directly with Wanni, given her reputation for being outspoken about her feelings.
The revelation ignited a fiery exchange between Rhuthee and the twins, Wanni x Handi. Rhuthee, visibly agitated, challenged the twins to say her name, leading to an intense back-and-forth.
In response, Wanni x Handi did not hold back, repeatedly using Rhuthee’s name in their insults.
The argument intensified when Wanni accused Rhuthee of hypocrisy.
