Abubakar Musa, popularly known as Gucci Branch, a former associate of Naira Marley, has spoken out against the Marlian Music boss, Poco Lee, and Zlatan Ibile, accusing them of abandoning him in his time of need.
In an interview with content creator Romantik Eye, Gucci Branch narrated his experiences with the trio.
Gucci Branch gained popularity after being arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2019 alongside blogger Biesloaded, Naira Marley, Zlatan, Rahman Jago, and others.
He explained how Naira Marley, Poco Lee, and Zlatan Ibile, Rahman Jago whom he considered friends and colleagues, turned their backs on him during his darkest hour.
According to Gucci Branch, Poco Lee leveraged his influence to gain fame, while Naira Marley and Zlatan Ibile ignored his pleas for help. He claimed that they avoided him and even spread rumours about his demise, leaving him feeling betrayed and isolated.
During the interview, Gucci Branch revealed that despite falling out with Naira Marley’s camp, he still maintains connections with other industry heavyweights, including Davido and Burna Boy. He stated that they periodically inquire about his well-being, but his former associates have refused to divulge his whereabouts.
Gucci Branch expressed gratitude towards Davido, emphasizing that the singer would never forget him. He also proudly mentioned his appearance in a music video alongside Tiwa Savage, highlighting his contributions to the entertainment industry.
