VeryDarkMan tackles FG over N40k bag of rice, alleged increment of NYSC allowance [VIDEO]
  • Media personality VeryDarkMan has voiced out his concerns amid the news of the federal government commencing the same of 50kg bags of rice at N40k.
  • VDM described the government as one who loves to tell lies and gives the masses false hope without being remorseful.
  • He further tackled the government for claiming that the allowance of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members was increased to N77k.

All is not well with the Nigerian economy and media personality Martins Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan or VDM has made known his stance regarding the part the federal government is reportedly playing to deceive the people.

VeryDarkMan in a recently released video stated that the federal government was lying when it claimed it was selling 50kg bags of rice for N40k. The self-acclaimed activist said the price of a bag of rice is over N70k in the markets.

VeryDarkMan furiously asked that the government show him where he could buy a bag of rice for the subsidized amount mentioned.

Moving on, he challenged the government for claiming that the increase in the minimum wage is now effective in the allowance of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members. VeryDarkMan said no Corper has been paid the supposed N77,000 as they still receive N33,000.

In September, Caroline Embu, Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, NYSC confirmed the approval of the enhanced allowance.

Embu said, “The Federal Government has approved the increase of Corps Members’ monthly allowance to Seventy-Seven Thousand Naira (N77,000) with effect from July 2024. This is in line with the enactment of the National Minimum Wage (Amendment) Act 2024.”

VeryDarkMan further stated that a day is coming when the people will rise to protest against bad governance and it would catch the leaders unaware. He said when that day comes, no one would fix a date and those in power who are responsible for the economic hardship would learn the hard way. Watch VeryDarkMan speak below:
