“Forgiveness isn’t memory loss” – Apostle Suleman blows hot following public apology from Halima Abubakar
  • Following apology from Halima Abubakar, Apostle Johnson Suleman told people to stop calling his phone, stating that forgiveness isn’t memory loss.
  • He noted that he is maintaining his current stance on the issue

Apostle Johnson Suleman has addressed the public apology issued by actress Halima Abubakar, who recently retracted her statements against him and sought forgiveness.

Earlier today, Halima Abubakar chose to reconcile her differences with the prominent clergyman by issuing a sincere apology.

In her statement, she expressed remorse for the claims she made about Apostle Suleman, admitting that her remarks were defamatory and had a negative impact on both his ministry and personal life.

The actress recognized the inaccuracies in her allegations and sought his forgiveness, hoping her message could somewhat alleviate the damage caused to his reputation.

In response to the apology, Apostle Johnson Suleman urged people to refrain from contacting him regarding the matter

He clarified that the apology does not necessarily mean a complete resolution or reinstatement, confirming that he would maintain his current stance on the issue.

He wrote:

“You all stop calling my phone.
Forgiveness is not memory loss!
Status quo maintained!
AJS”.

The bitter drama between the Actress and the apostle started in 2022, when Halima Abubakar set social media ablaze with damning accusations, claimed she had an affair with Apostle Suleman, which allegedly led to her deteriorating health..

In her most controversial claim, Halima shockingly alleged that the cleric engaged in sexual activities with her while she was bleeding, and that she had been pregnant for him three times, tragically losing each child.

These accusations led Apostle Suleman to take legal action, determined to clear his name from the storm of scandal. In April 2024, the Federal Capital Territory High Court handed down a ruling in favor of the cleric, ordering the Nollywood actress to pay N10 million in damages for defamation.

Despite the court’s decision, Halima remained resolute, refusing to back down—until now.
