Controversial X user and social media commentator, Daniel Regha, recently stirred debate with his comments about Nigerian footballer Ademola Lookman’s choice of attire for the Ballon d’Or ceremony yesterday, 28th October 2024.

Regha suggested that Lookman should have opted for an outfit inspired by traditional Nigerian or African designs, drawing a comparison to Senegalese star Sadio Mane, who made headlines in 2022 by wearing traditional African attire at the same prestigious event.

According to Regha, Lookman looked good in his suit, but he could have used the global platform of the Ballon d’Or ceremony to showcase Nigerian culture and heritage.
