Verydarkman apologizes for using Police uniform to create content following interrogation [VIDEO]

• Nigerian social media activist, VeryDarkMan, whose real name is Vincent Martins Otse has apologized to the Nigerian Police.
• Recall the social media commentator came online on Saturday, October 26, to introduce himself as an officer of the online division.
• The video prompted an invitation by the Nigerian Police and VDM shared a video of the outcome of his visit and the new things he learnt with his fans.

Many social media users were shocked to see Martins Vincent Otse also known as VeryDarkMan, tendering an apology publicly on their screen. This is quite rare, considering his track record. Some however applauded him.

The social media commentator was seen in a video apologizing to the Nigerian police due to a video he made earlier.

Recall that a couple of days ago, VeryDarkMan went online dressed in a uniform with resemblance to that of the Nigerian Police. The self-acclaimed activist then reintroduced himself as the Chief Superintendent Officer CSP of their online division.

VeryDarkMan told his fans that he is in charge of nabbing people for the injustices perpetrated online and would not hesitate to hold anyone accountable.

This move did not please the Nigerian police, as the organization accused VeryDarkMan of using its uniform without permission and invited him over to their station.

The social media commentator honoured their invitation and apologized afterwards, adding that he had no idea there was a police rank known as CSP -Chief Superintendent Officer. VeryDarkMan captioned his post:

“Back from the police station where I was interrogated based on the post I made wearing a costume that the police claim is similar to theirs,l didn’t intend to impersonate the police in anyway and I tender my unreserved apologies to the Nigeria police force and the office of the inspector general of police and also I will like to use the medium to tell the general public to always seek permission from the police or other law enforcement agencies before using anything that might look like their uniform,you might want to use it for good but there are others that might want to use it for bad, so it’s good to get full approval before using anything that might seem impersonating @nigeriapoliceforce and also shout out to my lawyer @adeyanjudeji who is always ready to stand”
