Nollywood star Omoni Oboli has taken to Instagram to share an update with her followers, reaffirming her identity in the industry.
In a detailed message on her account, she claims to have produced what she believes is the top film to come out of Nigeria.
Omoni Oboli expressed her joy and satisfaction with the film’s reception, noting that it has received no mid-reviews.
She shared a personal story about her sons’ enthusiastic response to the movie, saying they compared it favorably to Hollywood movies and gave it a 10/10 rating.
She expressed gratitude to those who have watched and plan to watch the movie, inviting fans to join her at upcoming screenings.
She wrote:
“Allow me to reintroduce myself! My name is OMONI OBOLI (OMoney) Strong woman, wife, mother, grandmother, filmmaker, etc, and I made THE BEST MOVIE out of Nigeria without a doubt!
The thing that has given me the most joy about the release of THE UPRISING is that we have no mid-reviews! At this point, if you haven’t gone out to watch it in Nigeria, Canada, the UK, or Francophone Africa, you are missing the most impactful and intriguing movie you’ll see this year. Yes, I said it!
My goodness! My sons couldn’t stop talking when we got home! They said they couldn’t even compare it to other Nollywood movies, so they were comparing it to Hollywood!
My sons were brought up watching movies, and their taste in movies is very high, but for over 2 hours, they dissected THE UPRISING and gave it 10/10. My joy is complete! I am satisfied!
