Popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye better known as Bobrisky has sparked a fresh controversy, blaming the award he received during Eniola Ajao’s movie premiere as the root of his problems.
Recall in March, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the socialite was named the Best Dressed Female at Ajakaju movie premiere and was awarded a N1 million cash prize.
Bobrisky has fingered the recognition he received at the event as the beginning of a downward spiral in his life.
Truly, following the award, Bobrisky was arrested by the EFCC for allegedly abusing the Naira note, sparking wider allegations and a 6 month jail sentence.
A leaked audio also surfaced accusing the crossdresser of bribing officials to evade charges of money laundering and securing a luxury apartment in place of a prison sentence— claims he has vehemently denied.
This has led to two other arrests while Bobrisky was trying to leave the country until he successfully did on the third attempt.
In a recent Instagram post, Bobrisky, currently out of Nigeria, reflected on his ordeal, stating that it all began with the Best Dressed Female award he won. In Bobrisky’s words:
“My problem started from when I collected best dressed female with 1 million prize.
For my life, if I see award for best dressed female I go disappear from that location asap.
Everyone know the truth that I’m a baddie with class, you wanna compete with me? Ur mummy never!!!! But when problem wan too much make I run🤣🤣🤣🤣.”
The statement has reignited debates about the authenticity of the accusations and the challenges associated with fame. Eniola Ajao, however, is yet to respond to Bobrisky’s claims.
